BACK TO
BASICS
I feel we have lost our way when it comes to education. The views and goals of our local educators have been obstructed. We need to get our district back on track with reading, writing, and arithmetic.

ACCOUNTABILITY
Accountability is key. If our teachers are not held accountable, how will they hold the students accountable. As an example, 66% of 2024 seniors did not complete the graduation requirement of 30 community service hours within less than a month of graduation.

FISCAL
RESPONSIBILITY
With our Superintendent requesting a new bond, as well as a potential budget cuts in our future, we need to ensure the best decisions are being made with our financial future in mind.
MEET JOSHUA
My name is Joshua Tiller and I am privileged to be a candidate for the Fallbrook Unified High School Board of Trustees. I would like to share a little about myself:

Family: I am lucky to call Cristy my wife and life partner. Together we have nine children that completes our beautiful chaos.

Roots: I originate from North Carolina. Since leaving the Marine Corps I have planted deep roots in Fallbrook. Two of our children graduated from the Fallbrook Unified High School District (FUHSD) and another is graduating next year. Two more of our children are in our local Fallbrook school system where they will graduate as Fallbrook Warriors. Also, I have made efforts to invest in our community by purchasing and owning Mountain Mikes Pizza.
Personal Background

Education: I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Management from the Art Institute of San Diego and my Associates Degree in Business Management form Mira Costa Community College. Education is a cornerstone for our future and we should grasp every opportunity. We need to teach our children that learning is a continuous process throughout life.

Public Service: I have always believed in selfless service, taking opportunities to serve our community from the elementary school district to the high school district. Whether it be donating pizzas to teachers working late or ensuring our high school athletes are fed and ready come game time. I contribute to local sports and youth programs through direct contribution and many fundraisers hosted at Mountain Mikes Pizza.

Experience: I currently serve on the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. My role as a business owner has afforded opportunities to meet with the board members of local youth programs and PTSA members creating relationships with the parents. I also serve as an Advisory member for the FUHSD culinary programs.

Current Role: As the owner and operator of Mountain Mikes Pizza in Fallbrook, I am responsible for all daily operations, as well as human relations and administrative work. As mentioned, I am a sitting member of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and an Advisor for the FUHSD culinary program.
